Real weddings are our bread and butter here at SMP. From Brooklyn like this next one to Boise, from trendy to timeless – weddings are what we call home. But the best ones, in our opinion, are the weddings where fun reigns King. And knowing that this pair used Trivial Pursuit and Shuffle Board to keep their guests busy, made all of the gorgeous decor that much more lovable. With photos by a guy + a girl photography, beauty by Jackie Schneider Beauty and vows by Reverend Annie Lawrence, this is one wedding that we can get completely on board with. And there is more here!
From a guy + a girl photography… Oh, here is one of our favorites of the year! An incredibly cozy Winter wedding at 501 Union in Brooklyn. Sarah and Mike (and their families) have been close since elementary school, so this wedding truly was a union where two families officially became one.
Their decor featured an NYC-meets-Brooklyn theme with skylines and vintage postcards present throughout. We are still obsessed with their gorgeous gold cake, and could not believe it was vegan!!! Although the ceremony and reception took place at 501 Union, their happy day opened and closed at the nearby Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club, where Mike is a member. Games like connect four, trivial pursuit and of course, shuffleboard kept Sarah and Mike’s friends and families (and their wedding photographers!) partying long after the cake was cut and the band stopped playing. So happy for this amazing pair!
