From the beautiful Bride… March 14, 2015 was an absolutely beautiful, blissful blur of a day! I married my sweetheart, my best friend, on a slightly cooler spring day. Although it may have been overcast, nothing could have dampened our spirits! After a fun day getting ready with our BIG wedding parties (and much awaited anticipation), Marc and I met down in a dreamy sunken garden for our first look. It was truly magical! From the moment I locked eyes with my love, nothing else mattered. All nerves went out the window, and the only thing I could think about was how excited I was to marry this man!
I walked down the aisle, arm in arm with my daddy, to see 200 smiling faces of our closest family and friends. But it was the smiling face at the end of the aisle that made my heart leap. We had a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony officiated by Marc’s brother in a picturesque garden. After we said “I Do” (and kissed a few hundred more times) we were off to celebrate! Our reception was the biggest, best dance party you could imagine! It was filled with great food, great design, and even better company. At the end of the night, when everyone lined up around the corner to send us off with rose petals and well wishes, we had our private last dance. That moment struck a cord in our hearts. We danced to our favorite slow song, reflected on the night, and had a moment of pure bliss to ourselves under the stars and twinkling café lights. I couldn’t have dreamt up a more perfect wedding day!
My style inspiration was classic, romantic, and organic. My hair was down and draped over one shoulder, how I usually wear it, and my makeup was natural. I chose a simple, yet stunning lace Kelsey Genna wedding gown. The custom top featured romantic draped lace sleeves – my favorite part of the dress! For the ceremony, I wore the gorgeous Opaline Sash by Ranna Gill for BHLDN, Petite Crystal Drops by Kenneth Jay Lane for BHDLN, Lianna Mesh/Satin Embellished Booties by Badgley Mischka, and the romantic Sky Mist Veil by Debra Moreland for BHLDN. For the reception, I switched it up by exchanging the belt for the gorgeous Twigs & Honey Baby’s Breath Crystal Hair Vine for BHDLN.
We chose the breathtaking Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens as our ceremony and reception venue, which reflected our organic, al fresco style. All in all, we could not have had the wedding of our dreams if it wasn’t for all of our amazing vendors. Not only are they some of the best in the industry, but they became my best friends, too. I absolutely love them all, and we are so thankful for all of their hard work and incredible talent! It made our wedding a true fairytale!
