Every image is a true testament of this couples love for each other, and you can get wrapped up in all the sweetness here.
From Matt Rowe Photography... We just knew there was something special about these two. Such elegance and fun wrapped up into a moment in time resounds very clearly and their wedding will remain a favourite of ours. From the real tears of the 'first look' between Elissa and her Dad, the genuine and beautiful vows to the hilarity and fun of their chosen besties (bridal party) we had a ball. We'd like to thank Mark for allowing us to shove a pug in front of his face and call it art. Seriously though, those moments in between - when the bridal gown is on, when the groom waits for his bride and when she is ready to walk down the aisle and the anticipation and sincerity become near tangible - these create the foundations of the wedding day that, for us, define each couple.
From the Bride... We met in high school at Brisbane State High (we were in the same Grade 9 form class) and started dating in grade 11. We were best friends before we got together, and that friendship has been at the core of our relationship all the way through; we genuinely love each other’s company and make a great team. There’s not a lot that we don’t know about each other, having been together since our teens we’ve experienced so many things together, grown up together, gone through highs and lows of life together and love each other more than words can say.
He proposed the night of our farewell party, before we left for 18 months in Europe and the UK. We went for a low key dinner date beforehand in Brisbane’s Southbank and then went for a walk. When we reached the spot where Mark had asked me to be his girlfriend 9 years earlier, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife
We loved the way Matt captures couples and the scenery in a magical and artistic way; his images stood out clearly from every other photographer we looked at. We were so thrilled with our shots and everyone has commented that they can feel the love between us.
