Bridal Beauty: Soft Side Braid
When you think about beauty on your big day, braids aren’t the first thing that come to mind. But with lots of lovely braids filling my Pinterest boards lately, I think it is time to reconsider. A soft side braid is the perfect hairstyle for any laid-back and romantic bride, and Jennie Kay’s impressive hair skills prove this look could be perfect for you! Comb hair into a deep side part. Apply a bit of smoothing paste to a small section towards the front, leaving out a few small pieces around your face.
Begin braiding the hair, including sections as you go to create a french braid. Continue braiding towards the back of the head, until you’ve reached the end of your hair. Secure with a clear elastic.
Take a small section at your crown and tease with hairspray and a comb.
Pin the braid underneath the teased hair and then drop this section to hide the end of the braid.
Use a curling wand to gently curl the small sections of hair around your face and pin these into the braid. Finish it off with texture spray.
