When Two Of A Kind Rentals, ever swoon, and Face Time Beauty come together, we’re in for a treat. So I got excited about the magic they recently created, especially considering it showcased one of my favorite decor areas – the often overlooked ceremony site. Add in blooms from Designs By Ahn and Gotham Florist, and Alicia Swedenborg’s pics and I’m bursting with ideas. See all this beauty right this way!
From Two of a Kind Rentals… I teamed up with an amazing group of wedding vendors and spearheaded two styled shoot titled “Candle Lit Arches” and “Chuppah Delight.” We receive an overwhelming amount of questions from brides each spring regarding the many ways to style their ceremony backdrop. And this is our answer for them! Just one of the many ways it can be done.
We get excited about a good wedding arch and wanted to prove to our brides that it can be done in a modern, trend-forward way (unlike the traditional plastic arches you see at a lot of rental companies!).
The amazing team at Designs By Ahn wrapped our Vintage Metal Arbor with buckets of green garlands and fresh florals to achieve a romantic, lush green backdrop. White, blush and cream colored blooms were incorporated to add a romantic accent. With the addition of large and small vintage metal lanterns, candles and the Green Building’s exposed brick walls, this entire backdrop came to life!
Our groom wears a 100% wool custom Sene suit (thanks to their amazing wedding party discount!) while our bride wears an intricately beaded Nearly Newlywed sweetheart gown. Special thanks to the Facetime Beauty hair and makeup team for providing red lips and a head full of curls for our bride!
We could think of no better backdrop for this shoot then The Green Building in Brooklyn, New York. The venue’s rustic, exposed brick walls and natural colored floors created a most majestic canvas for this shoot. Thanks to Alicia Swedenborg for the photography and Ever Swoon for styling!
We also outfitted our bride in Preston & Olivia veils which perfectly accented the intricate Ceci New York stationery included in this shoot. Bridal bling provided by Marisa Perry brought our bride to life! Flower crowns made from white, blush and cream colored flowers made by Designs by Ahn adorn our bride’s head.
The “Chuppah Delight” design goes out to all of our brides who ask for wedding decor direction! Most times our rental clients have reception decor, menu details and color schemes planned out from the beginning but tend to forget about one important thing… their ceremony backdrop! With the help of our vendor friends here in New York, we introduce brides and grooms into the wonderful world of non-traditional chuppah options and what that could look like for their big day.
Gotham Florist layered bunches of greens and fresh florals on Two of a Kind’s White Birch Chuppah to achieve a magical layering effect. As you can see, we excluded the typical white chuppah linen and instead showcased layers of greens and magenta, light pink and white flowers creating our own natural canopy.
Made in Heaven Cakes baked a lace covered 3-tiered cake for our bride and groom to cut which matched perfectly with the intricate Ceci New York stationery included in this shoot.
