Romantic Spring Garden Wedding
Setting your wedding date is surely significant, especially when said date happens to be the same as your grandparents anniversary (seriously, how sweet is that). So, it's no surprise that this Cecil Green Park affair is brimming with lots of love and classical romance. From the photographs of family members on display to the first look where it all began, Christie Graham has it all here!
From the beautiful Bride... We also got married on my grandparents' wedding anniversary, which was very special for us. That was one of the most important things to me, when planning the wedding.
The aesthetic we wanted to create was romantic and classic, with natural tones and textures. We fell in love with Cecil Green heritage house. It's beautiful grounds, elegant interior and gorgeous views of the Strait of Georgia made it the perfect venue for us. (We are also both bibliophiles and loved the library and books on display everywhere!) The gardens were the most beautiful place for an outdoor ceremony, as they fit perfectly with our romantic theme and still felt relaxed and natural. Our decor centred around white, blush and peach flowers, (including my favourite, peonies), votive candles, framed prints by Rifle Paper Co., and photographs of our grandparents' wedding days.
My favourite moment was our first look, which took place at the park where Aaron proposed (a favourite spot of ours in Kits, close to our place). It was a so great because we were able to really enjoy the moment, just the two of us, before we got married. Aaron's favourite moment was when he first saw me appear at the top of the stairs at the ceremony and he got a sort of rush of excitement!
