From Calli B Photography... Rachel and Warwick’s love story was a long time in the making. After meeting at high school they lost touch for five years, but the couple reconnected at the age of 21 and have been together ever since. Rural Queensland’s unspoiled beauty perfectly matched their desire for a rustic themed wedding, and they chose to get married at Kenilworth Homestead, located in the Mary Valley region of the Sunshine Coast. Knowing exactly how she wanted her special day to look, Rachel opted for rustic styling elements and a stunning floral design created by local Sunshine Coast florist, Willow Bud. Beautiful glass bubbles filled with candles and lush flowers were hung from the roof of the homestead, while vintage furniture laden with bonbonniere complemented the venue’s rustic feel. Kenilworth Homestead’s huge jacaranda tree provided an ideal ceremony location, and Rachel and Warwick said their vows beneath a riot of purple flowers, surrounded by family and friends. “Walking down the aisle and seeing Warwick tear up and listening to our vows…these memories will be clear in my mind for the rest of my life,” said Rachel. “The whole day was perfect. I married my best friend and not one thing went wrong.” While the couple had their official photos taken in the property’s picturesque surroundings, guests entertained themselves with outdoor games and snacked on the delicious assortment of candy. The reception’s table setting featured soft white linen, swatches of lace and vases filled with delicate blooms. A single-tier white wedding cake finished off the look seamlessly. Just when Rachel and Warwick thought they couldn’t get any happier, prior to jetting off on their Hawaiian honeymoon, the couple found out they were expecting twins.
