Romantic Minneapolis Summer Wedding
Hey there Munster Rose, it's Liz over here, totally crushing on your beautiful bouquets at this summer celebration. I could stare all day and with the combined forces of Rock Paper Scissors and Denae Brennan Weddings & Events, we're in wedding wonderland. Jeff Loves Jessica snapped it all for us to gush over and if a picture is worth a thousand words, we have millions of goodies to enjoy right here.
From Denae Brennan Weddings & Events... Molly and Marc reside in New York City but chose to get married in Molly’s hometown of Minneapolis. The clean lines and elegance of the Calhoun Beach Club provided the perfect backdrop for their modern and fresh wedding day. The happy couple was all smiles from start to finish and their energy was absolutely contagious. Jackie from Munster Rose provided gorgeous pops of color against the simple black and white palette of the wedding party.
Following the traditional Jewish ceremony, guests mingled while enjoying passed hors d'oeuvres like mini sliders and mini chicken tacos. When the ballroom opened, the Bruce Henry Band welcomed guests with a fast-paced set before dinner was served, setting the tone for the top priority of the reception: dancing! The band kept the dance floor packed all night, and when it was done a DJ finished out the night. The party truly went all night long with the happy newlyweds at the center of it all!
From the Bride... We were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend and have been together ever since. (Thanks again, Missy!) While we live in New York City, we knew right away that we wanted to get married in my hometown, Minneapolis.
We had a lot of guests from out of town, so we really wanted to make sure that they had an opportunity to explore Minnesota. We encouraged everyone to check out the lakes, bike trails, and State Fair, which was the same weekend as our wedding. It was incredibly special to have so many of our favorite people in Minneapolis, and we were pretty much bursting with happiness the entire weekend.
Planning the wedding long-distance meant that we were pretty reliant on my parents, who live in Minneapolis, and our vendors. Luckily, everyone was amazing! We had our rehearsal dinner at the Icehouse, which was a super fun (and delicious!) way to kick things off. We wanted the wedding itself to be elegant, simple, and really fun - and Calhoun Beach Club was perfect. Our florist, Jackie from Munster Rose, created beautiful arrangements and gave each of our flower girls a huge white dahlia to carry, which I loved! Our band, The Bruce Henry Band, made sure our guests danced their socks off and our wedding coordinator, Denae Brennan, made sure everything went off without a hitch.
All in all, it was the greatest of great weekends, and we feel so lucky to have had so many wonderful friends and family there to celebrate with us.
