From the Sara WightWhen public relations professional Jessica, 25, and private wealth portfolio manager, Anthony, 29, met working at a small cafe in Somers, N.Y. in 2005, they had a new found friendship. What they would find over the next three years is that their friendship was something more. They got engaged in November of 2014. For their big day, the couple wanted a venue they could make their own, but one that was unique and captured the vision the bride had since she was a little girl. “I always wanted the fairytale wedding,” recalls Jessica. “We wanted an elegant farm-to-table feel with a touch of vintage.” The couple, who now lives on the Upper East Side felt it was only natural that they marry in Westchester county, the place they grew up. When it came time to wed, the couple chose Lyndhurst Castle in Tarrytown, N.Y. An outdoor ceremony at the iconic Rockefeller castle amid the pastoral fall foliage made for a storybook backdrop. Lanterns led down to candlelit tent – romantic and whimsical. Amber lighting highlighted the sea of white and blush hydrangeas and roses. Rustic farm tables surrounded the dance floor, which was flooded with friends and family as they danced the night away to the sounds of Hank Lane’s finest. “It was everything I wanted and more,” says Jessica.
