From Calli B Photography... After meeting at a music festival just before sunrise, Marie and Joel were destined to be together. The couple said their vows at Spicers Clovelly Estate in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, where they celebrated the occasion with a bohemian garden party.
The wedding ceremony was decorated with an assortment of pretty details, including a sign featuring the words “With my whole heart, for my whole life.” Trudy Croad of Love Bird Weddings created an effortlessly romantic setting by combining elements of bohemian styling with a colour palette consisting of antique white, ivory cream, peach, apricot, pink, fuchsia, lavender and hints of blue.
Guests were seated on wooden bistro chairs beneath a jacaranda tree, amongst an array of brightly coloured petals. The wedding alter was fashioned with bamboo wrapped in calico, with a beautiful floral design on one side. The registry table was made from driftwood, accompanied by two Hampton chairs wrapped in lace and adorned with jewel-toned flowers. The relaxed style of the garden party allowed guests to unwind after the ceremony, with rattan benches and wine barrels placed around the venue for seating.
Marie and Joel wanted one long dining table for their reception, and six tables were pushed together lengthways in order to accommodate their 32 guests. Macramé cloths, candles, glass pillars and tea lights covered the table, and each place setting featured a cute Bonbonniere provided by the bride and groom. Men received personalised golf balls inscribed with “He put a ring on it” while women were given handmade lip balm on which was written, “Our love is the balm.” The icing on the cake was literally the amazing mint green banana and chocolate cake made by Cake Designs, which was decorated with florals and placed on a timber bolt table.
Mondo Floral Designs delivered a stunning arrangement of flowers with rich, jewel-toned colours executed in a relaxed gardenesque style. David Austen roses, tulips, hydrangea, dahlias, delphinium, hyacinth, freesias, berries, flowering foliage and unstructured greenery were all used to create a vividly bohemian design. A beautiful hairpiece made with an assortment of flowers was the perfect accessory for Marie’s wedding day look and a lush floral canopy brought wow factor to the ceremony. Even the venue’s chandeliers were adorned with beautiful blooms.
The most special part of the day for Marie and Joel was when they first saw each other at the ceremony, and that they were able to include their children in their wedding day.
