Old Mill Villa Inspired Shoot
When it comes to beautiful blush gowns like this pretty little Lovely Bride number, you better bet it has SMP written all over it. Styled in the hands of Simply Sera Events this inspiring shoot is polished, delicate, and romantically regal. Every image from the lens of Sally Pinera is breathtaking and you can see them all in the gallery!
From Simply Sera Events...We were inspired by the 2015 pantone color of the year, marsala. Marsala adds an elegant punch of color to spring and so, we paired marsala and blush with a muted grey and set out to create an illustration that was inspired by the beauty of an old Italian inspired villa. The venue, The Old Mill, is a hidden gem tucked away in the residential area of San Marino that served as the perfect backdrop for our shoot; with warm toned buildings, climbing greens, and hidden pathways. The Old Mill is a perfect venue to hold your intimate yet romantic wedding.
We wanted to pair marsala and blush pink with grey and silver to achieve a refined and polished look with a hint of masculinity to demonstrate that you can have a delicate and romantic wedding without the trending gold. So the china, flatware, candle and floral vessels, groom's suit, and paper goods all have silver or grey elements. To further create a soft look, we laid tulle over our table and let the ends flow - it enhanced a seamless look when our bride in her gorgeous blush gown sat down at the table.
We are incredibly honored to have worked with a talented group of vendors that completely understood our vision for this shoot. Foxtail Florals did an amazing job creating beautiful florals with the perfect balance between bold to soft hued flowers. The Romance Between incorporated watercolor and calligraphy for the invitation suite, menu, place cards, and escort/favor tags. Our tablescape would not have been made possible without Dish Wish Rentals and A Rental Connection. Sweet and Saucy custom created our charming cake and the Mrs. Box was the perfect prop to display the exquisite ring from Trumpet and Horn. Meagan, our hair and makeup artist, made our bride effortless and elegant, and our couple modeled the J. Crew suit, Lovely Bride LA gowns, and Handmade by Sara Kim accessories flawlessly! And of course Sally Pinera captured all the breathtaking images.
