Central Park Cherry Blossom Engagement Session

Cherry blossoms are spring’s beautiful hello to the world after a long winter slumber. These canopies of fluffy pink can turn a stroll through the park into an awe-inspiring adventure, especially when said park is Central Park. And the proof is in the pudding my friends—these dreamy engagement captures from Rebecca Yale say it all. Breath in every inch of this fresh gallery, right here!

From Rebecca YaleJanice and Jae are getting married this summer outside of Manhattan so decided for their engagement session they wanted to take photos in the Cherry Blossoms in the heart of New York City- Central Park. After a very harsh winter in New York we were rewarded at their shoot with the first warm weekend of Spring. The blossoms opened up two days before the shoot and the whole city seemed to celebrate their arrival. After an early morning stroll to capture the beautiful golden light of sunrise we headed into the streets of the Upper West Side for some classic shots amid the townhouses and tree lined streets.

From the beautiful Bride… We both grew up in New York City loving the busy city life. Our educational pursuits led us both to Buffalo, New York, where we first met in the summer of 2009. The proposal happened on a cold winter day on the top of a ski slope. There were silver and pink ribbons wrapping around the frozen trees and tealight candles surrounding a picnic basket which contained the ring. Our friends, unbeknownst to me, were taking pictures from a distance as Jae asked for my hand in marriage.

The backdrop was perfect that day, as it was for our engagement photoshoot with the awesome Rebecca Yale! We are so glad that our photoshoot date coincided with the best weekend for the blossoms in Central Park. We could not be happier!
