Romantic Fall Wedding at Huguenot Mill
What better way to kick off the week than with a classic Southern beauty like this one right here. Chock full of blush bridesmaids and perfectly pretty bouquets of roses and hydrangeas, a dapper groom and one gorgeous gown, making me one very happy wedding blogger this A.M. Ashley Seawell captured every detail and these pics are my prescription for how we should start every Monday morning.
From The Bride... Our story is one almost 10 years in the making. Alex and I started dating in 2005 while we were both in high school just outside of Charlotte, NC. I am originally from Greenville, SC so Alex and I have visited the beautiful upstate city many times throughout the years. Alex fell in love with Greenville, so it was a no-brainer that we would get married there. We wanted our wedding to be a representation of us: classic, Southern, and very family-oriented. Alex and his family have a masonry business in Charlotte and when we first looked at the Huguenot Mill, we knew the historic, renovated textile mill was the venue for us with all of it's gorgeous exposed brick and wooden beams. We chose a neutral color palette so that it would not overshadow the restored brick and local, Southern flowers that were in season in September like magnolia, hydrangeas, and roses. Family is also very important to us. We wanted to make sure we honored our families so we had wedding photos of our parents, grandparents, and extended family all throughout the reception site. My grandfather had recently passed so I had his rings tied with blue string in my dress pockets. It meant a lot to me to have a little piece of him with me throughout the day. Alex and I look back on that day as the best day of our lives. It was full of love and happiness and we couldn't have hoped for anything else!
