From the beautiful Bride...We wanted our wedding to be simple, yet classic and elegant, just like us! With both of us being from Los Angeles, our family and our home are important to us, so we wanted to have a local wedding. Choosing our venue was an easy choice, we walked into the Maguire Gardens, looked up at the trees, the skyscrapers, and the gorgeous LA Central Public Library and knew that this was where we wanted to be married. We also love good food and the city life, and the Maguire Gardens had everything we were looking for.
When we planned our wedding, we wanted everything to be simple, but enjoyable for those who attended. We didn't want a lot of fuss or flashy elements, but we were looking for good food, good service and a warm atmosphere for people to relax and have a good time. Neither of us are very religious, and we are from two different backgrounds, so we chose a lightly spiritual officiant to perform the ceremony. Choosing purple as our wedding color was a no-brainer, as it has always been my favorite, and it gave a good contrast to the rest of the decor. Having the simple, yet classic theme, we made sure that our guests focused on the flowers, food and the company, so our tables were minimalist, with fresh flowers, crisp white linens, gleaming cutlery, and small white boxes with Godiva chocolate wedding favors.
We were thrilled with our wedding! Everything went smoothly, the weather was beautiful and it turned out even better than we hoped. It was truly our dream wedding and we have wonderful memories that we will treasure forever.
