At first glance, I swore this whimsical affair was a styled shoot. It’s just that good. But, m’dears this is real life. And real life is just that gorgeous. Surrounded by a bevy of beautiful Bridesmaids’ and lush Ava Flora blooms, this stylish pair put on one chic affair. A blend of of bohemian and garden fashion, from the sparkling feathered chandeliers to the mini tambourine favors, Judy Pak snapped it all in the gallery.
From the beautiful Bride… Chris and I were together for a decade right before he proposed. We were on vacation in Palm Springs and traveling through Joshua Tree. After all day in the park he turned the car around and said let’s get one more picture. When he pulled over he was standing under one of the Joshua Trees and got down on one knee! It was incredibly magical as we felt we were the only two people in the park at that moment.
Our wedding inspiration came from that day we wanted to somehow incorporate the Joshua Trees in our tablescapes. My florist Lori, from Ava Flora put together these amazing driftwood trees from branches and added succulents around the tops of the branches to represent the Joshua Trees. Each succulent had one petal that was painted in a metallic rose gold. We also used a lot of white milk glass and mercury glass for the flower arrangements. I fell in love with Proteas because they were so unique and that really set the theme for flowers.
We both share a love for Wes Anderson and The Rams Head Inn seemed to be the perfect backdrop for our wedding weekend. We wanted our guests to feel relaxed so we utilized the whole Inn for the wedding. my inspirations for decor was a mix of bohemian and the garden party scene in Sophia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette. My mother and sister and I hand dipped over 1200 feathers in rose gold glitter so our guests could dance under feathers. Every guest was given a mini tambourine that said “Shake for kisses”.
The day of the wedding was so fun! Since we took over the Inn for the weekend the morning of was so intimate! All our close family and friends were running around the Inn bouncing from room to room! My husband even went paddle boarding in the morning! Everything felt so casual and relaxed. It was truly a magical day and the party continued until 2am … The rain that was haunting the weather reports finally came at 2:30am! It was the most perfect day!
