I’ve only been to the Northwest region once, but with our two Altura Studio gems today, I’m feeling the need for another visit soon. This couple decided on an intimate event, a ceremony followed by an al fresco dinner with their closest friends and family, with a larger party at a later date, and the final results are bursting with the vineyard’s natural beauty. This is what dreams are made of m’dears.
From Altura Studio… Paul and Dana chose to separate their wedding and reception over two weekends this summer. That way they could enjoy the best of both celebrations. An intimate and elegant wedding and dinner with their closest family and friends. Then later, a big garden party with scores of guests from all corners of their lives together.
The afternoon at Vista Hills Vineyard was a perfect bluebird day. Dana was pure poise and elegance, while Paul channeled complete happiness. It was such a pleasure to photograph them together as they floated through this golden day. The couple said their vows within a circle of tall trees as the sun lowered on the horizon. And then after cocktails on the tasting room terrace, the guests sat down to a celebratory meal on the lower terrace. To me, it seemed a most elegant and meaningful way to celebrate a wedding. Dana’s father charmed everyone with his toasts – look for the delightful photo of the two Mom’s sharing a moment during his speech.
