SMP is Hiring: Full Stack Engineer

We’re hiring. Yep. Moving, shaking and hiring! Style Me Pretty’s dev team is a small, but passionate group of technologists who care deeply about front end performance, on-site search, tool building, growth hacking, AB testing and of course, our users. And we need a few more pro’s to build out our team and grow SMP into an even more important and savvy site.

Style Me Pretty started with a simple mission: Find and feature the most style savvy weddings, wedding vendors and brides. To date, Style Me Pretty has published over 20,000 weddings and almost 2M images. In 2015, we’re focused on building out better consumer facing products, while maintaining our status as the go to online destination for curated, high end wedding and lifestyle ideas.

We work mainly in javascript (React, jQuery, Angular, Node and Bower), PHP (Composer, Slim, Eloquent ORM, WordPress), MySQL, and Sphinx. We love exploring new technologies, programming languages and frameworks.

• We’re looking to hire talented full stack developers with the following values and skills:


• Experience building large sites with monthly visitors in the millions.


• A passion for Javascript. Familiarity with Node, Bower and at least one of the MV* frameworks. React experience a huge plus.


• Experience with or a willingness to pick up PHP.


• Knowledge of best practices for frontend web performance optimization and understanding of the critical rendering path a plus


• An understanding or interest in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design a plus


• A passion for writing simple, readable, maintainable code


• Bonus points for those located in New York City or Boston
