This soiree designed by Lauren Wells Events is a wedding that marches to the beat of its own drum. That’s right m’dears, because not only did this Boston duo choose to honor their hospitality connection on their Big Day with a foodie-driven celebration, but they also bucked tradition and married on a Monday. Surrounded by only their nearest and dearest, they enjoyed sabered champagne and s’mores while HENRY + MAC captured it all. Enjoy!
From The Bride…My and Andrew’s relationship began and is forever bound by our work together in the hospitality industry. It felt only right to spend the most important day of our lives at one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Getting married on a Monday surrounded by the dearest of family, friends, AND great food and beverage, complete with sabered champagne to kick off the cocktail hour and smores roasted over an open fire to finish was our idea of the perfect wedding day.
From Lauren Wells Events…Colleen and Andrew’s wedding was the most love filled and beautiful day, taking place in one of the couple’s favorite restaurants in Cambridge. The bride is a sommelier, so we played off the wine theme with florals, merlot brush calligraphy, and of course, plenty of wine! The bride even got the party started by brandishing a machete and sabering a magnum – then serving all her guests. Jenna from Love Jenna Calligraphy (and also the sister of the bride) calligraphed on the mirrors and walls, while Anne Robin calligraphed the rest of the beautiful details. Wild Folk created the amazing florals (including the hanging install over the charcuterie), and Henry + Mac captured all the goodness. It was a delicious and joyful celebration.
