I’m a sucker for any sort of nautical celebration but one that combines this classic style with an extra dash of style and I’m absolutely swooning. Add in the beauty of Love & Light Photograph’s work and I could stare at these pics all day long… which is what I may have been doing for the past few hours. It’s practically the weekend so I say, go for it and treat yourself with these gorgeous goodies!
From Jessa of Love & Light Photographs… Jenny and Joe love the sea. They often set sail and travel the world for weeks on end, where it’s just the two of them and nothing else matters. Their laid-back, adventurous spirit provided the perfect storyline for Paige of Gilded Lily Events to bring their vision to life. From the lobster trap used as a cardholder, the hand-lettered “dirty mermaid” cocktail signage, and blue and white porcelain vases on each table, I really haven’t seen a nautical theme taken on quite like this. (Not an anchor in sight!) Each and every detail was a dream to photograph, and I am so excited to share them with you!
From Paige from Gilded Lily Events… From the first meeting with Jenny and Joe, I knew the style their wedding would be. They are both classic and effortless. They chose a reception venue on the water in Rumson, NJ with the perfect nautical decor. Walking into the venue, I knew the rope accents, teak wood, and crisp white walls would be the perfect backdrop for their wedding. We were very classic in many of our decor decisions such as blue and white ginger jars with blush and white roses, navy and white stripes and lots of rope but had more fun with an oversized welcome drink sign, a salt water taffy bar and signature drinks such as the Dirty Mermaid. The best compliment of all was when Jenny and Joe told me their wedding was “so us.” I think I agree!
