Multi-Cultural Winter Wedding at Entrada

Multi-cultural weddings always impress me, the way they are able to combine various traditions and styles and when done right, the result can be absolutely outstanding. And that is just what we have here, a beautiful mixing of a traditional Hindu ceremony with some chic modern touches. Add in the stunning Bride and her dapper Groom and I just can’t get enough of Gideon Photography’s gorgeous gallery.

From Gideon Photography… Adria and Sujeet were married in a traditional Hindu ceremony in front of the red cliffs of Snow Canyon at Entrada Golf Club. The couple met and live in Washington, DC, but created a “destination” wedding experience for their guests in Adria’s hometown of St. George.

Their favorite part of the reception was the sparkler entrance and first dance. Since their wedding took place the week after daylight savings ended, the sun set by 5:30 pm and they were able to light sparklers at the very end of cocktail hour. The DJ announced them for the first time as a married couple and they rushed down a staircase into the patio full of their cheering guests, all holding sparklers. Right then, surrounded by friends, family, and fireworks, they danced for the first time as man and wife. It was magical.

For color and tone, they were drawn to darker, more “masculine” shades like slate grey and navy as well as dark woods. They added pops of metallic and greenery for crisp contrasts. This, combined with the traditional Indian bright colors of cloths and ceremony, made for the perfect result.
