Following an intimate ceremony on land, this couple took their wedding guests to sea for a weekend away, celebrating and soaking up the sun and gorgeous views, but not without Brancoprata snapping some stunning pics of the newlyweds on shore. The Amazing Rabbit was there to capture it all at every location, and their film, and this gallery have me adding Portugal to the top of my wanderlust list.

From Brancoprata… When Barbara and José told us they were planning to do their reception on a ship, and all the guests would stay for the weekend we immediately jump from our seats, our first wedding on a ship!! Barbara had a very accurate vision for her wedding, quite romantic, light but at the same time, elegant! They really wanted to spend time with all of their guests, especially because a lot of them came from other countries and it was the perfect excuse to spend time together, enjoying the Douro region. The name of the ship was perfect: Amavida, meaning “Love Life!”
Being a March wedding in Portugal, we knew we had to rely on the weather, and cross our fingers for a sunny day, and we couldn’t ask for a better day, it was quite cold during the entire weekend, but at least, it did not rained! The ceremony took place in the end of the afternoon, so by the time they entered the ship, it was night already and since we could not use real candles (because of the ship standards), Barbara found the perfect electric candles to used next to the centerpieces, you couldn’t tell the difference between those and real ones! The couple had the precious help from Bárbara’s cousin, Diogo from Something Amazing, he helped them bring their vision to life even in the smallest of details, such as personalized welcoming wine boxes on each bedroom or a cute ice cream car doubled as a perfect way to display champagne flutes to give guests as they entered the ship! The party literally lasted all night and the next day, the ship sailed to Porto, where guests and the newlyweds said their farewells!
