Romantic Boho Wedding on Vancouver Island

Barefeet and overflowing breathtaking bouquets can only mean one thing: we have a boho beauty on our hands right here. This summer wedding, captured by Christie Graham, has me embracing a more relaxed outlook for my own upcoming nuptials and Paul Behm’s film just reinforces that belief even more. Settle into your Monday in a much better mood with these pics right here.

From Christie Graham PhotographySurrounded by close friends and family, Jason and Mish recited heartfelt vows in the Groom’s grandparent’s backyard on Vancouver Island in late September. They couldn’t have imagined a more personal place to get married. Hand-crafted wooden benches, the perfect flower arch and countless other details were designed and built by the Bride and Groom in preparation for their summer wedding. Two dogs (one belonging to the couple, the other belonging to a friend) sporting fresh floral collars preceded the Bride down the aisle.

The Bride’s carefree, barefooted boho look (so gorgeous!) and the maids’ mismatching braided updos and dresses complemented the stylish menswear – crisp navy velvet jackets, cream chinos and bow ties – perfectly.

Gold, blush, navy, cream and wooden elements came together flawlessly, decorating the reception venue to perfection. Thoughtful signage, beautiful photo memories, unique furniture vignettes, vintage books, frill balloons, an intricate handmade head table backdrop and cream candles added a sense of romance and intimacy to the space.
