Surrounded by lush scenery and regal romance, these college cuties made sure their Big Day was filled with personal touches. From the cornhole games during cocktail hour, to their blooming Greenlion Design tablescapes atop La Tavola linens, every detail was inspired by their Alma matter. From the beautiful Bride… Surrounded by our closest family and friends, we enjoyed a beautiful day in September at the stunning Linden Place Mansion in Bristol, RI. Travis and I met in our college days at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. We knew we wanted to incorporate our alma mater into our big day and added a few special and subtle touches into our wedding day to remember our college ties. One of our closest friends drew pen and ink inspired pictures of Hamilton buildings which served as our table names, and I surprised Travis with a Hamilton themed corn hole game for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour. Travis and I wanted to achieve a casual elegant vibe for the day, which factored into each step of our wedding planning – from choosing a mix of rustic walnut farm tables and round tables with blush linens to the baby’s breath that lined the ceremony aisle, to the DIY photo booth with Fujifilm cameras and props, to our blush escort cards which my mom hand-wrote, to the gorgeous mantle adorned with vintage boxes, flowers, garland, votives, and mirrors.
A color palette of neutral whites and blush pinks and was carried through from the bridesmaids’ dresses and the incredible florals by Greenlion Design to the tablescapes in the Carriage House Ballroom. Guests were witness to an outdoor ceremony followed by cocktail hour in the East Rose Garden surrounded by the sweet sounds of a string trio. Vintage lanterns hung in the trees while family and friends noshed on delicacies cooked up by the fine folks at Russell Morin Catering. The carriage house was styled with thousands of twinkle lights creating a warm glow overhead while sequined, chevron linens and exquisite flowers in vessels adorned the dinner tables. Before and after dinner Splash! performed for the guests and we proved that elegance can turn rowdy with the proper music!
