Rustic Winter Wedding at Brooklyn Winery

The Big Apple may seem like a crazy alternate universe at times, but there are little cozy gems hidden throughout the city and I’m pretty sure the Brooklyn Winery is one of those. Intimate and romantic, it played host to this rustic wedding and Brian Dorsey and Mint Wedding Cinematography were there to capture every second. Cuddle up with some vino and enjoy this gorgeous gallery below.

From The Bride… Our first date was a very icy, snowy day in New York City and after a few drinks, a lot of butterflies and laughter, Mike walked me home and I fell on the ice! Instead of an embarrassing moment, that moment turned into a sweet meet – cute story that we’ll always remember. I knew immediately what kind of man Mike was and that he’d always take care of me. Fast forward 13 months to a week after I had foot surgery when Mike got down on one knee in our home and asked me to marry him in the most heartfelt and intimate way.

We quickly settled on December 19, as we wanted a winter wedding and it would also commemorate 44 years to the day that my parents were married. We are both tried and true New Yorkers, so we couldn’t imagine saying ‘I do’ anywhere else, and Brooklyn Winery offered us the rustic, beautiful, and intimate venue that we wanted. It was the only venue we looked at.

I am a planner by nature, so I jumped right in. With the help of some fantastic vendors, it was as stress-free as could be. Rachel and Emily at Brooklyn Winery were superb, we found an amazing officiant in Peter Boruchowitz who delivered a personalized, heart-felt and romantic ceremony, and we had gorgeous, lush flowers, branches, lanterns and candles everywhere thanks to the extremely talented Gabrielle Aronas at G! Designs. And finally, Justin at Brian Dorsey Studios (photography) and Chris at Mint Wedding Cinematography delivered beyond our wildest expectations.

December 19 was the quickest but best and happiest day of our lives. Everything was beautiful, perfect, and simply like a dream. We are eternally thankful and in awe of each and every vendor who helped make our day perfect, and of course so grateful to all our family and friends for helping us to create the sweetest memories to last a lifetime.
