An iconic NYC fixture like Carnegie Hall, in the crisp beauty of winter, is the perfect scene for elegance and romance, so that’s just what Michelle Elaine brought to this shoot, captured by Alexis June. With floral fantasies brought to life by L’Oasis Floral Designs, winter’s chills disappear and we’re surrounded by a blushing Bride and a tablescape that leaves us breathless. From Michelle Elaine Weddings Inc… Influenced by history, inspired by love. The art of romance is beautiful.
When the opportunity arose to be the first team to create a styled shoot in the newly renovated event space at Carnegie Hall, we were over the moon! With such a beautiful, historic landmark as our backdrop and fresh snow covering the gorgeous terrace, we couldn’t have been more delighted with this winter shoot.
Using Marsala, the pantone color of 2015 as our inspiration, we created a chic palette of blush tones, ruby reds and gorgeous airy greens that influenced every detail in the shoot. Chantilly lace and full layers of tulle dressed our model in elegance, while a custom fit navy suit, with character from head to toe, completed the groom’s tailored look.
Inside, lush hydrangea florals wove their way around vintage place settings and cascaded over our barn wood table to create elegant drama. Upon each plate, a delicately placed card with gorgeous gold calligraphy and champagne cocktails beautifully garnished with thyme and blackberry, pulled the color palette together.
Everything from our luxe wedding cake design from Sylvia Weinstock, to the soft, feminine blush tones in the stationery, seemed to shimmer with beauty and elegance surrounded by historic Carnegie Hall and the quintessential New York City backdrop of Central Park views.
We can’t forget about our adorable addition Sprinkles, dressed in a petite floral collar, bringing delight to our couple and all on the shoot.
