From Mark Potter Photography... The inspiration for this midsummer, all-film styled shoot was centered around exotic elements in a natural, idyllic bayside location. The colour palette was designed to capture the warmth of summer in bright, lush shades of hot pink, peach, orange and magentas.
The French lace gown, with scalloped hem and train, is reminiscent of a bygone era, with liquid silk, vintage-inspired jewelled cap sleeves, finished with a bejewelled tulle headpiece. The flowers are dramatic and unexpected with waterlilies, lotus, dahlias, chestnuts, flowering gum and softened with fragrant garden roses, trailing stephanotis and billowing silk ribbons. The luxuriousness of the exotic elements has been balanced with styling using plant dyed cotton table runners, calligraphy in sepia ink on parchment, silver mercury glass and vintage timber furniture.
