From the beautiful Bride… Since the venue already has so much old world charm and many eclectic treasures I didn’t want to takeaway from it’s natural beauty, but I also didn’t want to blend in by using anything rustic. In general, I’ve always loved the juxtaposition of old and new so this was what I was trying to create. A clean, modern look that was set in a weathered, antique space.

For the flower colors I was inspired by the bougainvilleas growing on the property. Growing up in Florida my mother and grandmother always grew these in a variety of colors and they are naturally just amazing.

Of all the decisions I struggled with the bridesmaids dresses the most and I think they turned out as one the best. I wanted them to feel great and reflect (literally) FUN, which is what we feel about NOLA. I tried on a million dresses for each of them, sent them pictures and they got to pick their favorite. This one was the clear winner!

My other favorite part (from a design perspective) was the linens and candles. Both of those vendors were so great to work with and the chandelier was awesome and achieved exactly what I wanted of old and new. I wish I could have enjoyed it more that night
