Rustic Bali Wedding
This, loves, is how you throw a wedding. You pick a fab locale (hellllooo, Bali), hire some incredible vendors (think Baliku Wedding, Bloomz and Luxe Salon), then gather all of your nearest and dearest for a stunning celebration in paradise. It's basically the recipe for awesome, and when you have Veli Photography on hand to capture every colorful moment, well... that's perfection. See it here.
From the Bride... When we started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted to keep it small and intimate. We wanted it to feel personal and something that reflected both our personalities. We knew we wanted the wedding to be fun and relaxed where guests could enjoy themselves with good food, drinks and atmosphere. The most important part of the wedding was to share our love with the most important people in our lives.
The inspiration behind our wedding was natural, colourful and rustic. We used lots of bright fresh flowers paired with rustic wooden furniture. Simple wooden tables were used with candles and vases full of flowers as the main centerpieces.
We used Etsy a lot to order personalised items for our wedding. Some of the things we personalisd was a guestbook made of wooden hearts for guests to sign as well as lollipops personalized with our names and date of wedding.
When we walked into our venue, we knew it was the one. Semara Uluwatu is perched high on the cliff tops of Uluwatu with the perfect ocean backdrop. It’s an intimate 7 villa resort away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of Bali.
The planning process had it’s ups and downs, but that was to be expected of a destination wedding. Our wedding planners, Baliku Weddings made sure everything and everyone was kept on track with the planning process. It was fantastic to see our vision slowly come together. We couldn’t have done it without the help of all our fantastic vendors.
The ceremony was a combination of both our heritages and faiths. We had both Jewish and Catholic aspects incorporated into the ceremony which was very special to share with all our family and friends. It was also very important for us to incorporate our families into the ceremony. We had our parents, brother and sisters share readings and blessings with us during the ceremony. We said our I do’s with the Indian ocean as our backdrop and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
We had dinner and dancing under the stars, with guests taking sandals and sunglasses as thank you gifts. Dancing continued throughout the night, with some of the guests jumping to the pool for a swim and cool off.
We had the most amazing day and are so blessed to have had our family and friends travel from all over the world to celebrate with us.
