This garden wedding with breathtaking beach views at Bacara Resort & Spa is a dream come true. Dive into the details captured by Mi Belle Photography right here.
From Felici Events... I was so honored to work with Jennifer and Marshall on their BIG day. Jennifer had attended a friend's wedding in 2009, which I had been the planner on, and had sought me out from this encounter. This tickles me pink, even more than the plethora of peonies and soft toned flora visible among the wedding flowers. There was a lightheartedness and formality about the design, and one that truly captured the Jennifer and Marshall's personalities; as bright and sweet as the couple.
The couple wanted their event to be elegant while entertaining an understated and effortless manner. They were able to maintain a relaxed feel using the outdoor grounds of Bacara Resort and Spa while incorporating formality with special touches and design elements. Hidden Garden Floral expertly transformed soft pale pinks, greens and white blooms with the outdoor and dark-wood elements. These traces are visible in the bride's bouquet, ceremony floral of large urns and chuppah, as well as the tender mismatched centerpieces consisting of silver antique trays, pedestals and candles. Even the mini bouquets presented to each guest at their place setting boasted simplicity and elegance.
Jen's off white open back dress created a beautiful silhouette of her, and the stunning long veil allowed a sneak peek at the bare back. Marshall wore a tuxedo and proclaimed formality to the nine.
Their guest count of 200 guests allowed for a ceremony in the round, where nobody has a bad view. There was no wedding party, other than the flower girl, and family who all sat in the front row. The ocean lawn's breathtaking views and broadness allowed for both the nuptials under a floral dripping chuppah and cocktail reception to take place here.
For dinner, guests moved to an intimate garden dinner setting surrounded by hedging and privacy at the Oval Lawn. A mix of wood feasting tables and beautiful lace linen rounds gave an interesting dimension to the space. The wooden blocks used as table lettering were made with love by the bride's family bringing in a personal touch of Jen's dedication in working with children. Attendees were greeted by the Fifth Avenue 10 piece band's live music. They festively orchestrated the three course dinner, hora and dancing under string lights and a starlit clear sky. Pashminas with personalized "J + M" initials in green, as well as flip-flops for tired feet were available for guests during the night.
At the conclusion of dinner, guests made their way to the Rotunda and Terrace for a treat of an after-hours party complete with DJ and dancing or lounging under the stars until the wee hours of the night. Sweet and Saucy provided a small cake for the couple to cut as well as adorable bite-size desserts; and the resort butler-passed mini chicken and garden burgers with sides of french fries. At the conclusion of the evening, after the grand exit, I accompanied the bride and groom to their golf cart and they started their happily ever after...
