Whimsical Fall Wedding at The Loft on Pine
It takes creativity to take a blank canvas venue like this amazing loft and turn it into a wedding space that really speaks of the special couple. Not only did Everly Events succeed with transforming the space from ceremony to reception in whimsical ways, but they did so with a fun flair. Adrienne Gunde and Studio 205 caught it all on camera and this gallery put a smile on our face.
From Adrienne Gunde Photography... I wanted to share this pretty loft wedding I photographed at The Loft on Pine in hopes you might enjoy it! I loved the whimsical touches that filled the day (her ethereal dress, the brightly hued florals, the sweet calligraphy) that added a romantic touch to the urban venue.
From the Bride... Wedding planning for us was a dream and so much fun! Our look and feel was to be romantic and elegant. The Loft was the perfect (new) venue to showcase something grand, yet unique with all its built in beauties! Since the wedding was in October, we wanted to go for a fall-themed feel which went beautifully with The Loft's architecture. We incorporated darker colors such as navy for the bridesmaids dresses and deep purples in the florals. And of course all kinds of gold, ivory, rose gold, and silver to give it that touch of elegance!
My dress as well as the bridesmaids dresses were all custom made by Dawn Kim of Atelier. It was based on inspirations I drew from photos of different gowns. I especially wanted a sweetheart neckline, an empire waist, and lots and lots of airy layers!
We really wanted a special moment to thank both our parents and made sure to include a private tea ceremony right before the actual ceremony. The fact that we wanted to keep it short and not too traditional and proper made it all the more personal and sincere. Additionally, in place of traditional menus and programs, we wanted our guests to have more of a keepsake in the form of thank you cards with a custom picture/caricature of us designed by a dear friend, also seen on our guest sign-in poster. Daniel also made the wooden frames to hold the place cards. Our wonderful planner, Shirley Han, did the calligraphy and chalk art for the place cards, welcome sign, and decorative mirror.
My favorite part about the wedding? There's too many to list! We especially loved our guests' response to the beautiful and unique venue space that made everything just that much more gorgeous! We loved the intimate moments we spent with our family, bridesmaids, and groomsmen getting ready for the wedding. I loved walking down the aisle with my Dad who unexpectedly almost made the whole room cry. Our personal favorite, the dance party at the end surrounded by our closest friends and family!
