From Lavender & Rose...From the moment we met this sweet couple, we were really made to feel like part of the family. After visiting a handful of venues on the French Riviera & Provence, their heart skipped a beat when they set foot into the Chateau de la Napoule. The only true Chateau in the area located right on the water’s edge, the Chateau de la Napoule is steeped in history. Everywhere you look, the venue tells a romantic tale of two lovers, two creative souls, in a world of fantasy and mystery. Previously owned by Henry & Mary Clews, two bohemian artists from an American aristocratic background, the venue contains the full collection of art and sculptures produced by H&C Clews during their residency at the Chateau de la Napoule. The words « Once Upon A Time » above the door leading from the courtyard to the interior of the Chateau adds to the story book magic of the place.

The celebrations began with a ceremony in the majestic alley lined by shaded gardens. The couple were wed in front of a luscious wall of white roses, hydrangeas and gypsophila. The groomsmen & groom entered first holding two new members of the family; a gorgeous little baby boy and girl. Accompanied by the beautiful voice of soulful song bird Lizzy Parks, the bride entered with her father creating a moment full of emotion.

A drinks and canapé reception followed in the gardens overlooking the coast. French specialists such as snails, "Foie Gras" and frogs legs were served with Champagne and strawberry daiquiri. Guests were given a personalised Panama hat to shade from the Riviera sun.

Dinner was revealed in the courtyard, an extremely romantic setting with hanging decoration, festoon lights and soft amber coloured up-lights. Nestled under a sycamore tree, the top table was adorned with a garland of peonies, gypsophila, David Austin roses and spray roses and handing candles and flowers were suspended from the tree’s branches overhead. Guests dined on parmesan risotto beautifully served on top of a porcelain dome lit with a candle from underneath. Between courses, an acoustic party band went from table to table building the party atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a photo booth with floral backdrop and fun props. A veal main course with truffle flavoured potatoes followed and the meal ended with a dessert buffet adorned with cristal hanging chandeliers. The square, three tier cake topped with little love birds was cut and the groom lifted the bride up high in the air in a moment of passion.

Guests danced into the early hours in the gothic dining room to the carefully chosen beats of our wonderful DJ Thomas Dusseune while flair barmen mixed delicious cocktails.
