There simply aren’t enough words to express how much I adore this woodland fairytale wedding. Complete with a blush pink Vera Wang, an intimate ceremony amongst the trees, lush fern table runners, and too many adorable details to count (looking at you, little pups!), it’s the ultimate celebration of love and Alisa Lewis and Caravan Floral Design were behind every bit. From Rebecca Hollis Photography…Warm breezes through the fields, a ceremony under a canopy of trees, and so much love you just got lost in it all. Emily and Pedro’s fern inspired wedding was simply stunning. So many details were personal to the couple, but what made it the most memorable to me, was the pure joy that this couple evoked. It made me fall in love all over again.
Alisa and her team did an incredible job pulling together all the details and making this wedding every bit as spectacular as it was. Elements from all the vendors blended so well to make the fern vision come to life. The wedding was romantic with a nod to Northern Idaho.
From the Bride… We wanted the wedding to have a luscious, evergreen vibe – we went with a woodland elegance feel. I wanted a lot of greenery, with a variety of ferns, which are a favorite of mine. The florals were very romantic, with blushes and ivories as the predominant colors. I loved the fern runners down the center of the tables, and the gorgeous swags above the ceremony curtain.
Everything about the wedding was very personal and handpicked by Pedro and I when we worked with Alisa, our wedding planner and stylist. She was amazing and went above and beyond to create something beyond our imagination – I absolutely adore her. Alisa has such an eye for styling, and she truly puts her whole heart into making your day a dream. Her entire team was incredible and made the day run smoothly.
I did the lettering for escort cards, cake flavors, favors, and signs. I bought the little rabbits that held the cake flavor cards – we have a rabbit at home, and wanted to add that little personal touch.
My mom, dad, and I made the cedar bergamot soap with Alisa and her friend Mary, who is an herbalist. It was lovely, and there’s nothing better than a handmade touch – I wanted something people would take home and use, and remember the day.
My mom and I picked the fabric for the curtain, and she sewed it. She also cut the napkins for the tables by hand. My dad handpicked the wines, beers, and champagne for the reception. And we had bottled Izze sodas, which were colorful and perfect for the hot summer’s day!
The food was gorgeous AND delicious, which was important to us. I wanted something unique and tasty! PRLR did an awesome job, and it was so fun to have fresh food in the middle of a field. I also adored our cakes – we had five different flavors! They were completely from scratch and were delicious.
Finally, I cannot say enough about my photographer, graphic designer, and friend, Rebecca Hollis. She made Pedro and I feel at ease from the moment we did our engagement shoot with her. She’s funny and sweet, and works hard to really reveal the intimacy and love in a relationship. She’s also amazing at styling, and really sees the beauty in every moment.
