Rustic Chic Vineyard Wedding
My biggest weakness? Gorgeous, warm summer evenings and the weddings that come along with them. So there's no denying that this rustic chic, Peacock Blooms filled affair from Sweet Monday Photography is my Achilles' heel. Top it off with one seriously stunning gown, and you've got what wedding dreams are made of right here!
From the beautiful Bride... In the earliest planning stages, Andrew and I knew that we wanted our wedding to be intimate, organic, and most of all, fun! We both envisioned a venue that was charming and rustic, and truth be told, I always had Chandler Hill Vineyard tucked in the back of my mind as a beautiful spot to get married. Even though it’s only a short distance from Saint Louis where we live, you feel like you’re a million miles away. The hilltop winery gives a welcoming vibe and the spacious deck overlooking the vineyards is the perfect combination of casual and romantic elegance. Choosing a fall date was a no-brainer for us, as that is Andrew’s favorite time of year.
We chose to keep the decor simple yet elegant with long tables, a neutral color palette, and lots of greenery and florals. We also lucked out with a truly beautiful reception space with high ceilings and exposed beams that didn’t require any extra fluff.
Most of all, we wanted our wedding to be a reflection of us as a couple. As designers, we knew we had the ability to really personalize our special day. Andrew custom-built our website and I designed our wedding suite and coordinating pieces. The individual menus accented with an olive branch at each place setting, the beautiful calligraphy place cards, and the cigar bar were just a few of our favorite details.
It was amazing to watch the pieces come together on the day-of, but honestly, our guests played the biggest role in making the day go above and beyond what we ever would have imagined. Well, that and the perfect fall weather we managed to get! We really had an amazing crew of friends and family to celebrate with, as well as an exceptionally talented group of vendors that helped us pull the whole day off!
