We’re winding down the last few official days of winter this week and it sure has been a pretty season darlings. From the beautiful Bride… When Tom and I got engaged, naturally, I was ecstatic. Talk about feeling like you’ve known someone your whole life. Tom and I went to high school together and were best friends. We grew up in a town right outside of New York City. After going our separate ways for college, we luckily rekindled in NYC where we now reside. It only seemed fitting that we tie the knot in the city that has housed and enabled our love story!
It was a no-brainer that New York City is the most magical place during the holidays. We were instantly inspired by the theme of a black tie winter wedding. From snow to holly, velvets to Christmas music, we love everything about the holidays.
As I work for Donna Morgan, I knew my bridesmaids would look stunning in the Donna Morgan Collection. I dug deep through the archives and stumbled upon three of the most exquisite vintage Donna Morgan dresses. Funny enough, I found these gowns before I even asked my maids or found my own dress!
Choosing my favorite moments of the day was a harder task than I imagined. One of my favorite moments was right after the ceremony before cocktail hour. We went up to the bridal suite where appetizers and champagne awaited us. We sat down for twenty minutes and let everything sink in. From the day leading up to the ceremony, to our favorite moments at the church, we were finally married! I couldn’t stop smiling. Before we went down to greet our guests at cocktail hour, Tom did a quick change and surprised me with a chic velvet tux jacket – perfect for the party! Now everyone was really dressed to impress.
