Colorful Half Moon Bay Wedding
This, loves, is one bride who knows a little something about planning the perfect wedding. Picture the sweetest of pink and coral color palettes with fabulous DIY details and an oceanside ceremony thrown in for good measure. In other words? This is one crazy gorgeous soiree. Oh, and it was all captured by the talented Tanja Lippert, so you know the gallery is sooo, sooo good. See it all here.
From Tanja Lippert... Natalie and Thibault's wedding was classy, simple & colorful with splashes of person touches from the bride & her super talented artist skills. From the personalized stationery to the florals, it was just so darn whimsical and cute!
From The Bride... After six years of dating, my husband and I planned our wedding with the simple idea of celebrating our love with those we cared about most. It was important for us to honor our cultures (I’m Chinese and my husband is Parisian) by focusing on what mattered: location, gastronomy and ambiance. We’re celebrating our wedding in three locations this year so people we care about can join in Half Moon Bay, California, Paris and Hong Kong. My husband also has an adorable son and having him be a part of the wedding was essential.
I resigned from my job in January 2014 and focused on taking a break, planning and designing our wedding. It all started with designing my wedding ring with my husband who offered a beautiful heirloom diamond from his family. Next, I wanted to created a fresh wedding that celebrated joy and our cultures so I decided to do a majority of the design and incorporated cultural elements:
● Designed simple engagement ring with Cartier jeweler in France
● Designed dessert table with signage
● 500+ handmade paper flowers were made from dip dyed coffee filters and tissue paper (for aisle
pomanders, alter decorations and centerpieces)
● Painted tryptic guest sign in artwork
● Made gold dipped and tissue paper pens
● Painted rocket ship monogrammed logo
● Chose spring color palette of coral, mint and gold
● 18 Bird cages gilded gold as centerpieces
● 10+ LED Lion Dance Troupe for celebratory performance
● Variety of French style cake and pastries (Pièce montée)
The most special experiences to me are simple, beautiful and thoughtful Made with Love. Everyone who contributed to our special day truly made it memorable.
