Paris weddings whisk me away to a whole other world, one that is overflowing with blush and gold, where the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe appear in the background of all photos. This lucky couple said their vows in this magically chic place with a celebration planned by Fete in France, captured by BKT Films. It’s time to pop some champagne, dive into K Hulett’s photos and prepare to fall in love.

From Fête in France… Mary & Jason are a Brooklyn, NY based couple. Jason’s family is based in Paris and Mary’s family had spent time in Paris during her childhood. It was Paris where they first met, and though it was elsewhere and a while later before they got together, they couldn’t think of anywhere more perfect than Paris to get married.
Mary and Jason’s wedding was one of the most fabulous weddings we’ve had the pleasure of organizing. The event was filled with elegance and class, with elements of fun and amusement mixed in. The day was filled with surprises from bagpipers, to vintage Citroen cars, custom cocktails, and a light up dance floor for an amazing party atmosphere.
The couple had an elegant ceremony held at the American Church in Paris. At the end of the ceremony the bride and groom were led down the aisle by bagpipers – a surprise for everyone including the newlyweds and a nod to the groom’s Scottish heritage. Following the ceremony the couple was whisked away in a vintage Citroen Traction and the wedding party was picked up in colorful convoy of vintage Citroen 2CV cars – to top it off the drivers donned berets and striped “marinière” shirts. The parade of cars took the bridal party to the Eiffel Tower for group shots and then the bride and groom set off for their own personal shoot. Beautiful shots overlooking all of Paris were taken from the panoramic terrace of the Hotel Raphael and after pictures around the city the couple met their guests at the Salons France-Amériques for champagne and a menu of signature cocktails expertly crafted by mixologists from Paris’ hippest bar. Dinner was held in gorgeous salons overflowing with white and pink flowers. Each guest had a hand crafted paper Eiffel Tower filled with chocolates at their place setting. Following dinner everyone headed downstairs into the converted Turkish bath which was transformed into a nightclub for the event. The band led Mary and Jason in with Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” and the DJ quickly transitioned to start the party with Jay-z’s “Empire State of Mind.” The DJ had guests dancing well into the night on a colorful light up dance floor that brought the party atmosphere to the next level!
