Spanish Seaside Bridal Inspiration
I visited Spain years ago but the vibrancy of that region still remains strong in my memories. With the oranges and sunny colors, I was transported then, and once again here, with this photo shoot by Renee Hollingshead. The Boutique Wedding Co. created a beautiful beach scene, complete with Poppy & Scooter invites and some delightful desserts. Get swept away with all the colorful creations right here.
From Renée Hollingshead Photography... When I booked my first trip to Europe, I knew I had to find a way to photograph internationally. I had dreamed of visiting Spain ever since I studied Spanish in high school. After researching planners in each of our destinations during our backpacking trip, I came across Lucy of The Boutique Wedding Co. I was immediately excited when she expressed interest and we planned to skip our day in Madrid to travel to Malaga for a romantic Spanish shoot.
We e-mailed, skyped, and planned ideas for our Coastal Spanish Romance shoot for weeks. Inspired by Pantone's Spring 2015 colors, we opted for a very vibrant Strawberry Ice and Tangerine against the blue skies of the Andalucian Coast of Spain. Oranges are local to this region this time of year, so it was the perfect element to include. Lucy gathered an incredible team of vendors including a handmade gown by Claudia Arrieta and beautiful jewelry from Meriko London.
Fast forward a few months later and I'm finally in Spain. After leaving the train station I was in complete awe of this beautiful city. Rolling hills right on a beautiful coast, I didn't want to leave! Malaga was indeed the perfect location for our coastal shoot and everything I had hoped it would be. I was completely blown away by all the beautiful details Lucy put together including vintage items passed down from her family, natural olive and lavender garlands right from their neighborhood, dip-dyed lace, and beautiful florals. Poppy & Scooter provided a gorgeous invitation suite complete with gold calligraphy and hand-painted citrus designs to match our look. It was hands-down one of the prettiest shoots I've ever seen. We photographed right until the end of sunset before getting back on a train to Madrid. I truly left my heart in Spain and I cannot wait to get back and work with this talented team again.
