From Two of a Kind RentalsThis inspirational shoot took place in the heart of Brooklyn, New York at a quaint venue called 26 Bridge, just steps from cobblestone streets lining it’s perimeters. The renovations to this former metal factory highlight the building’s industrial history, accentuating its original brick walls and expansive wooden floors. We could think of no better place to host this shoot then 26 Bridge!

As a rental company owner, I receive frequent requests from brides who are looking for obscure, over the top, or large-scale decor items to make their big day “pop.” In this inspirational shoot we’ve highlighted multiple ways which decor rentals can top off an event and pull out the individual character of the bride and groom themselves – making their day all about them.

The groom and the best man both wore custom Sene blazers which are composed of lush velvet and burgundy hues which embody this season’s pantone, Marsala. And since you can’t pass on Sene’s wedding party discount for parties of 6 or more guys (where the groom practically gets his for free!), we’ve outfitted our groom in Sene’s custom Noire White Dinner Tuxedo which pairs perfectly to the bride’s romantic, backless Lovely gown.

Our floral-filled garlands, cascading centerpieces and the bride’s bouquet (by Cheeky Details) all shared one uncommon element – the use of fresh Blueberry vines! Our bride’s signature cocktail called “Blushing Beauty” also includes the use of fresh ingredients such as mint, lime and muddled blueberries as well as the featured hors d’oeuvre of the day, the ever popular Smoked duck on sweet potato chip with blueberry-ginger compote – yum!

This natural, artisanal theme ran strong throughout our inspirational shoot starting with the large, over-sized wall flowers scattered on our ceremony backdrop to the rustic wooden pedestals used to showcase farm to table hors d’oeuvres, by Ryan Brown Catering. We also included the use of real wooden votive holders outfitted with tea light candles creating a romantic, candle-lit setting all photographed by Rebecca Yale.

Our bride wore a pedal kissed headband by Hushed Commotion which accented our beautiful, 3-tiered cake by A White Cake. Intricately scripted escort cards and Hudson whiskey tasting menus by, Virginia Lucas Hart, set the stage for our Hudson whiskey bar and sweetheart table. Two of a Kind accents included in this shoot are the “BAR” and ampersand marquee lights, green boxwood topiaries and globes, and chalkboard signs – all joining together to create an inviting, rustic party!

Along with over 80 images from this shoot, all taken by Rebecca Yale, we also asked Joshua Brown to create a brief 2 minute video capturing a full range of movement from the day!
