From the beautiful Bride... When I woke up that morning I knew that today was going to be perfect. It seemed as though everything that happened this whole year was meant for this day, and this day alone. The stars had aligned over night creating the most beautiful weather for the last day of 2014, and I was getting married. There is something very special about a new year. It's a time for reflection and new beginnings, and I couldn't think of a better way to start it then with a new life with the man of my dreams as my husband, and I his wife. I was lucky enough to have 4 makeup and hair artists from Mink come to the hotel to pamper myself and my six bridesmaids. I felt like a movie star getting ready for the Oscars! As we listened to music and drank mimosas it was exciting knowing that just down the hall, in another room, was Chris and all his groomsmen. And in just a few hours, we would be doing our first look. I will never forget the feeling of walking up that staircase by the The Mill Bistro in Coal Harbour. Seeing Chris standing there at the top with his back to me, was one of the most exciting moments of my life. The anticipation of what he would say, how his face would look, and that incredible smile of his, was getting closer and closer every step I took. And in that moment when he turned around, he took my breathe away. We spent the next 3 hours in Stanley Park taking photos with Kristy and Ken from Blush Wedding Photography and being taped by Mark of Kismet Creative. Our wedding party learned quite quickly that the shade is the best light, so it was jackets on and jackets off which made for some entertaining moments for onlookers. As we made our way back to the hotel, the excitement just grew as we knew it was only minutes away from our ceremony. All day I kept thinking about how lucky I was to be marrying this man and how I could not wait to become his wife. Everything flowed so seamlessly all day, from our pictures to the ceremony, to dinner and our reception, it could not have gone any better. I will remember our vows, our first dance to "Thinking out loud" by Ed Sheeran, the amazing speeches from our parents and our best friends, and dancing the night into the New Year. But what I will remember the most, is how I felt walking down the aisle towards Chris to the acoustic sound of "Latch" by Sam Smith, because that feeling is something I have never felt before. That feeling of completion, of being exactly where I should be in that moment. With my Dad by my side, that walk is one I will never forget for the rest of my life. Having this video is an incredible reminder of such a special and momentous day. This video gives Chris and I, along with all our friends and family, the opportunity to relive it anytime we want to - and there's not too many people who can say that. So here's to 2015, a new year that is sure to be filled with love, happiness, and new beginnings. I know that each New Year will bring something exciting and amazing because I get to celebrate the day I married my best friend.
