From Kristin La Voie Photography… Oh. My. Word. Everything about Russ & Alexia’s wedding day had me all smiles. Stunning blue Manolo Blahnik’s, cascading bouquet, scenic garden ceremony, dapper Groom, breathtaking centerpieces, gorgeous Bride, it was ALL spectacular. Pretty much a dream come true to say the least. I felt like I had literally stepped into a fairy tale wedding with a touch of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, just as Alexia had imagined. Absolute perfection!
From the beautiful Bride… Russ and I met at work when we were sat next to each other. We instantly became friends and after a couple years of friendship we fell in love and started dating. The rest is history!
I always dreamed of being married in a garden and Russ is a lover of all things outdoors, so it only made sense that we had our wedding at the Arboretum. The floor to ceiling windows for the reception space had a beautiful view of all the trees and the pond so we decided to use tree-inspired centerpieces that would feel like we were bringing the outdoors inside. I also couldn’t help but channel a Midsummer Nights dream while walking around the Arboretum so we went with vibrant pink and purple flowers to go along with all the greenery.
One of my favorite pieces of the wedding was my bouquet. My grandmother and my mother both had cascading bouquets loaded with gardenias (their favorite flower) on their wedding day, so I was more than happy to carry on the tradition. It was breathtaking to see and smelled like heaven!
