From Kate of FlowerwildOur bride and groom wanted their guest to feel like they were entering into a warm and inviting weekend of love and laughter. So a few days of frolicking were planned to ensure everyone experienced Santa Barbara accordingly. Thursday, guests were invited to attend a welcome dinner at San Yisidro Ranch that was low key and delightful. Then transported thru a day of celebration and family at the wedding on Friday.

Loaded with artful expression, the wedding embraced the couple’s love of their 5 daughters and each other. We covered the grounds of San Ysidro Ranch in dramatic colors and festive dancing; and designed a dutch painting -inspired chuppa for them to be married under. The bride’s aisle was dappled with plumes of hybrid delphinium. Programs were artfully displayed on custom-made fans by Amber Moon Deisgns and letterpressed by Tiny Pines Press. So beautiful, not one was left after the ceremony…all the guests took them home!

A reception in the historical Stonehouse followed light cocktails, and guests entered a the dining area that was dripping with delphinium and vines. Tables were adorned with only the best tabletop pieces from Small Masterpiece and the ARK. Sterling silver flatware, crystal goblets and coupes, beautifully patterned china, belgian embroidered napkins. Each setting, different from the next. The couple wrapped up the evening dancing under the stars with their children by their side and looking forward to yet another day of celebration in the morning!

Day 3 was a grand finale at the El Enchanto in Santa Barbara, where we transformed the ballroom into a colorful and vibrant oasis. Citrus trees filled the room, a circular-copper dance floor and brilliant band set the tone for a night full of music! This evening was a night for everyone to unwind, dance and just be in the moment…This is a dinner the couple intends to host annually, so they can continue celebrating their love and welcoming their friends to share in all the fun.

Everyone danced late into the night and the bride and groom clearly set a wonderful example of how to be centered and focused on getting the most out of your wedding. They never lost sight of each other in all the celebration. They always were looking to keep a nice balance in their decision making, and were never over-burdened by choices. They just stuck together. I know they will keep right on loving each other for years to come. I feel honored to have been a part of this lovely celebration.
