Chic Los Angeles Engagement Session

Paris and LA, two of the most stylish cities I'd say. Toss in one well known bakery, and before I even see a pic from this engagement shoot, I'm ready for a winner. And onelove photography didn't disappoint. They captured the essence of Paris at this couple's favorite LA spots, all while looking incredibly chic - thanks to Team Hair & Makeup. From The Bride... We love L.A. We both grew up in Los Angeles and our love story began during our college days at UCLA. After dating for eight years Albert asked me to marry him on an impromptu birthday trip to Paris. The alluring charm of this city won us over immediately and without a doubt we fell in love with the “City of Lights” despite its contrasting flair to that of LA’s. Having played a significant role in our lives, both cities became the inspiration for our engagement shoot. We wanted to simultaneously capture the traditional-romantic ambiance of Paris and the modern style of Los Angeles all in one image. To achieve this we chose to shoot at Bouchon Bistro in Beverly Hills where we were able to capture the romantic Parisian café atmosphere without leaving LA. Seeing as both cities are great fashion meccas, a mutual interest of ours, we wanted fashion to be represented in our shoot. As a result, we opted to take some shots on the widely visited Rodeo Drive plaza and stairs. The architecture and aesthetic of the plaza reminded us of the fashion square we visited in Paris off of Boulevard Haussman. Lastly, we wanted to capture the serene and centered stillness of UCLA where we both met and felt laid the foundation for our relationship. It’s almost like we captured the magic in the very place that brought us together. Thanks to One Love Photography for bringing our vision to life.
