From the dashing Groom... When I was waiting there with 90 odd people staring at me. It was no surprise the bride was late. But when I first saw her it hit me and I fought hard to hold back the tears.
What the most special parts of the day were... It was all perfect! If I had to pick one moment I would have to say when I saw Emilie walking down the aisle with her dad. The last song at the reception was also pretty cool. ‘throw your arms around me’ where the entire crowd circled up and literally threw their arms around each other!
From the beautiful Bride... I was surprisingly calm the day of the wedding until I decided to read through my vows while the girls were getting ready…….it hit me hard at this point and I was an emotional mess from then until I made my way down the aisle. Luckily I was able to pull myself together when I saw Ben.
It was important to me that absolutely every detail of our wedding represented Ben and I. I love vintage stuff so we went for the vintage/rustic theme which also suited our venue; however, we added little details to make it our own. Our wedding cake looked like a wedding cake but was actually wheels of cheese, we had our enormous dog in the ceremony (he carried the rings) along with our enormous bridal party, we had flip flops available at the dance floor for the ladies to kick off their heels, we wore gum boots for our photos (thanks to our amazing photographers), our ceremony was short, sweet and very funny with lots of laughter…….I could go on forever. It was also very important to us that our wedding was relaxed and informal. We had many guests traveling from Victoria so having our wedding at a venue where all of our guests could stay together and make a weekend out of it was perfect. The wedding day went so fast that I am now so grateful that I had the whole weekend with everyone otherwise I would have barely got to spend any time with them! I wouldn’t change a thing!
Another part of the day that really stands out to me was an awesome idea from our photographers (Matt and Amanda Rowe). Just before we were about to leave for the ceremony, Matt organized for my dad to come into the room without seeing me. Once he was ready I stood behind my dad so we were back to back. On the count of three dad and I turned around to see each other for the first time. Not only did Matt and Amanda get some amazing photos of that very moment that I will cherish forever but it was also such an emotional and incredibly special moment for my dad and I…….. this is why I was 20 minutes late for the ceremony (thanks for mentioning that Ben) but it was most definitely worth it!
I had been dreading the ceremony leading up to the wedding but to my surprise this was my most favorite part of the day! The look on Ben’s face as I walked down the aisle was incredibly special.
From Matt Rowe Photography... Ben and Emilie's beautiful Noosa North Shore wedding was a dream. A classic Vintage theme combined with a whole lot of humor, a massive bridal party added some hilarity to the day and their giant fur-baby/ ring bearer just kept us smiling. We loved the dreamy fields and the spectacular sunset and felt blessed to have spent the day with a couple so full of love and light-heartedness.
