Rustic Sacramento Backyard Wedding
Backyard weddings will never grow old, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Gaze upon the beauty of this backyard ceremony and you'll know that if anything, they're just getting better and better. Kate Whelan Events created one beautiful bash, and Flourish's olive branches were the icing on the (delicious) cake. Myrtel and Marjoram snapped away and you can start daydreaming with me right this way.
From Kate Whelan Events... As soon as they were engaged, Laurel and William knew they would be hosting their ceremony in Laurel's Tuscan-esque family home. The backyard held a natural and organic feel that they wanted for their wedding and surrounded Laurel with memories of her childhood. Flanked by olive trees and potted lemon plants, the couple walked down the aisle to an altar draped in beautiful garlands and accented with olive wreaths. Chalk hearts led the guests down the driveway into the charming backyard surrounded by greenery and beautiful fountains. A champagne bar on a large marble table welcomed guests as they arrived and a guitarist serenaded the guests and wedding party as they took their places. Small hints of the groom's Texan heritage and bride's California heritage were sprinkled throughout, in monograms and wrought iron details throughout. After the ceremony, guests headed to The Firehouse in Old Sacramento. They were welcomed to the autumn courtyard scene by a table full of handmade escort cards and led to their table by the couple's favorite Halloween candy classics. Handprinted table signs were created by the bride's sister. Beautiful organic arrangements accented with more olive leaves sat at each table, while the head table was decorated by the repurposed ceremony garland. Market lights twinkled overhead while the guests danced underneath. A delicious cake was accented with more olive leaves and fresh florals.
