Intimate Spring German Wedding

I drove through the German countryside this past summer and the picture perfect little towns that I saw looked straight out of a magazine, so this destination wedding was a really lovely flashback. Lauren Kinsey photographed this beautifully elegant, intimate wedding, complete with rustic floral crowns, bratwursts and one beaming couple. Indulge in your wanderlust right here.

From Lauren Kinsey Fine Art Wedding Photography... We were so completely honored to be asked to photograph Ben & Annika's wedding in Germany. Annika is a photographer and graphic designer based out of Atlanta, so every detail of her wedding was beautifully and well planned out. The wedding day was nothing short of magical. Little touches included Annika's mother hand making all the linen table runners, Annika's mother-in-law did all the floral design, and Annika even designed her own gown and her invitations herself! Both Ben and Annika are from Germany, and when it came to choosing a wedding location, they decided to marry in their family church with the reception near the art district in Worpswede, which is world famous for its beautiful light, attracting artists from all parts of the world.

The night before the wedding, we celebrated at Ben's family home with homemade bratwursts prepared by Ben's father, complete with the traditional plate smashing for good luck at the end of the evening.
