Colorful Winter Floral Inspiration

We’re snowbound here in New England and I’m struggling to remember what spring looks like, so this gem of a shoot by Mioara Dragan came across my desk at the perfect time. Bursting with epic flower crowns, necklaces, and more, it’s my new source for fresh winter floral ideas, and with Passion Flower Events’ talent and gorgeous gowns from The Ann Arbor Gown Shop, this gallery is a feast for the eyes.

From Mioara Dragan Photography… Susan McLeary of Passion Flower Events,  Stacy of The Ann Arbor Gown Shop, and I put together this stylized bridal shoot. We thought it would be a great opportunity to inspire  winter brides with the dark colors against the white to juxtapose all the light pastels in warm weather that we usually see. Going for a winterized look was our way of thinking “outside the box.”

We worked with the following florals: hyacinth blooms, ranunculus, passion flower blooms and vines, astrantia, gardenia, andromeda, lilacs, cherry blossoms, burgundy echeveria, fritillaria, parrot tulips, silene, and heuchera foliage.
