Hats off to this couple right here, planning their Toronto wedding from their new home in London. You can’t tell that they had that challenge from looking at their photos by A Brit & A Blonde though; each and every one is bursting with joy and if that’s any indication, these two are on one fun ride together. From A Brit & A Blonde… Marieke & Mark are both from Toronto originally. But during their engagement they moved to jolly ol’ London, England. A massive hats off to them for planning a super sweet and lovely wedding from across the pond. No easy feat! And they did it all without a wedding planner. They enlisted the help of friends and family to help them with some rad DIY items – from the playful bunting throughout, the seating chart & dinner menu chalkboards – even the delicious granola that they gave out as guest favours – was all done by themselves and their awesome friends and family.

They chose the Berekely Field House, which is in the heart of downtown Toronto, but has that great mixture of urban and rustic. It has a stunning outdoor space, where they had their ceremony and cocktails. And then indoors for the reception and dancing the night away. If we can just take a quick moment to acknowledge the band that they had. This was by far and away the best and coolest band we have ever, ever, ever seen at a wedding, they were incredible. Marieke & Mark had been out one night while still living in Toronto and saw them play and adored their style and sound. It was such an incredible addition to a very awesome cocktail atmosphere.

The dessert spread was from one of Toronto’s most delicious cake and dessert shops: Bobbette & Belle. From the meringues to the cookies to the cakes, it was scrumptiously divine.
