From Elysium Productions... We had an incredible time filming Nikola & Guy's romantic destination wedding in Tuscany. They traveled all the way from Australia with a small group of close family & friends for this moment. The rain literally stopped moments before the couple left for their ceremony, and the guests enjoyed one of the most spectacular landscapes in the world - complete with a gorgeous Tuscan sunset.
From the beautiful Bride... It was our love of Italy that laid the foundation for us to consider a destination wedding, and it was our viewing of the magical Casale Celli in Tuscany that cemented our decision. Ultimately, we wanted a location that we could share with our closest family and friends for a week of wedding celebrations.
Based in Australia, we trusted in the expertise of Ben Singleton of Italy Weddings to help make our dreams a reality. We were clear on what we wanted to achieve – an intimate and elegant Tuscan ceremony followed by a romantic candle lit reception under the stars.
The medieval courtyard of the San Gimignano Town Hall was a magnificent backdrop for our civil ceremony. Returning to our villa in a vintage car, we basked in a glorious Tuscan sunset with our guests as we enjoyed drinks and canapés around the pool, before making our way to the terrace to enjoy a traditional Italian feast, serenaded by a local Jazz band. Adding our own personal touches to the reception made it extra special – monogrammed linen bonbonniere favors, a Polaroid camera with our guest book for our loved ones to capture and share their own special moments, wedding photos of our parents and a cigar lounge for the end of the evening.
