Rustic Tuscan Wedding Film

From the groom's sweet tears as his bride walked down the aisle to her bouquet of pink peonies, I got swept away with this film by Matteo Castelluccia pretty quickly. This Tuscan summer celebration fulfills all of our destination wedding needs (epic sights, removal from reality, breathtaking romance) and between the film and Jules Bower's pics, I won't be forgetting about this one anytime soon.

From Matteo Castelluccia... Shanna and Daniel, a lovely couple from London, chose as the frame of their love, a small village on the Tuscan Hills called Monticchiello. It's situated very close to the beautiful renaissance town of Pienza, in the heart of Val d'Orcia. On their wedding day, during the morning, the weather was not as it was expected to be and it seemed to be a gloomy one, but the fortune was around the corner and the sun showed himself up in the sky and turned the day into a miracle. The ceremony was held in the church of Santi Leonardo and Cristoforo, in the center of Monticchiello, after that, the couple traveled by their typical car - an Alfa Romeo Spider - and reached their wedding venue.

The weather was nice in the evening and the venue was a typical Tuscan Villa, Terre di Nano, a wine country house. The combination of a happy couple, friends, good food, good wine and good music created great harmony and a right atmosphere.

The chosen wedding theme was "rustic romance." The main colours were blush pink, sage green and soft ivory. The young couple did not request anything perfect but only simplicity with a touch of rustic. They wanted the flowers to look natural and blooming, to go with their goal they chose peonies and roses.

They held a nice dinner under the olive trees, with wooden tables, lace runners, lots of candles and mismatched silver vases. The olive trees were embellished with twinkling lights and other cute details to create an intimate style.

They wanted the whole thing to feel like an intimate family meal under the stars and their wish came true.
