San Ysidro Ranch will forever be on my favorite venues list and when you combine that magical setting with the creative vision of LVL Weddings & Events the wedding that follows is straight from the storybooks. Intimate, elegant and sprinkled with all-white florals from Sweet Marie Designs, it’s a proof that a quiet Monday affair can be anything but ordinary.
From The Bride…It was not love at first sight! Our falling in love was nothing like a fairytale. My world, before I met Michael, was already completed, secure and certain. I did not see him as the missing pieces to my universe, but against all the odds he made a place for himself by expanding my world into a warmer and brighter place. Now, I cannot imagine my life without him. I’m thankful that I’m married to my best friend.
From The Groom…Joob was profoundly intriguing to me, she represented an understanding of the world that I could have never comprehended. Her attention to detail and focused approach to life was the perfect balance to my unbridled ambition and excitement. She is a concise, no-nonsense type of person who is unabashedly honest and unapologetically sagacious. I love that about her! Her genius is what hooked me and I’m more than happy to give up half my stuff and the whole of my heart to spend the rest of my life with her.
From The Bride…It took us quite sometime to decide that we were going to have a wedding (we liked the idea of running to Las Vegas and getting married there). After we made the decision that we were going to have a wedding, we had to decide where. My parents live in Thailand and they said they could be here by September. That left us 5 months to plan everything. I looked for a venue that fit my idea of my wedding for almost a week and found San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara. I suddenly fell in love with this place. We called them immediately to make sure they had our desired date available. All the weekends were all taken, but we were lucky because all of our guests had flexible work/life schedule, so we ended up with a Monday wedding. I always wanted a small intimate wedding.
We wanted the day to be about our friends and family gathering, and not so centered on the actual wedding. It is a rarity to be able to have all our love ones gathered in the same place at the same time to celebrate our life’s important moments with us. My parents and best friend flew across the globe to be there. We had one long dinner table and it reminded me of a secret garden wedding. We had a harpist playing during the ceremony and dinner reception. The sound of the harp encompasses what it feels like to be in love! I am in love with the white, simple, classic look of a traditional wedding and that is what sums up the style of our wedding. I do not think it could be any better than this. Our wedding was memorable and beautiful. We really had the time of our life. Lastly, we cannot be thankful enough for our fantastic vendors making all this happen.
